We hope you will come in Tar Heel spirit attire on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Feel free to wear sneakers as there will be a prize for the best Carolina spirit attire. Attire on Friday, October 24, is business professional, and Saturday, October 25, is Carolina casual (game day).
If you bring professional attire to donate to Carolina Closet, please bring it with you to the meeting on Friday. You will be able to easily drop it off at the Friday Center as you are arriving for the meeting.

The pinning marks the beginning of their journey with us. |

Carolina Mock Trial competes against other collegiate teams in simulated trials based on criminal or civil cases written by the American Mock Trial Association. Each team prepares both sides of the case – crafting opening statements, direct examinations, and cross-examinations – to earn points from judges in each round. We will learn more about this student group, their travels around the Country, and how we can help their efforts. | 12:30 p.m. | A conversation with Dean Mary Margaret Frank
We are pleased to welcome Mary Margaret Frank, Dean and Alumni Distinguished Professor of Accounting at UNC Kenan-Flagler. An award-winning teacher and researcher and academic leader, she is a triple Tar Heel. She returned to UNC from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, where she was senior associate dean for faculty development, John Tyler Professor of Business Administration. She was also co-founder and academic director of the Institute for Business in Society. In addition, Dr. Frank served as a board director and chairperson of the audit committee of a small publicly traded company, The Female Health Company, for 14 years, which merged with a biotech company in 2016 to become Veru Inc. The medical device company’s mission was to empower women, most of whom were from developing economies, to protect themselves against HIV and AIDS. She received her PhD, Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler. Dean Frank will be joined for an interview by our very own Susan Allison, a graduate of UNC’s Radio, Television and Motion Picture program who, with her husband, Ritch, established the Richard and Susan Allison Assured Admit Scholarship Fund for UNC Kenan-Flagler, which supports a four-year scholarship for four assured admission students to the undergraduate business program They also established the Allison Mentorship Program, providing professional development and application support for students interested in a business major or minor. Today, we have a unique opportunity to tour the new Steven D. Bell Hall before it officially opens in November. The state-of-the-art facility is set to significantly expand Carolina’s impact by enabling the Business School to admit 50% more students into its Undergraduate Business program while also modernizing the learning environment for future generations. |
