To nominate a candidate to the UNC Board of Visitors, you should be one of the following:
Member of the UNC Board of Governors
Member of the UNC Board of Trustees
Member of the UNC Board of Visitors
Dean
Director
Cabinet Member
UNC Development Officer

When choosing your nominees, please remember that the goal of the Board of Visitors is to assist the Board of Trustees and the Chancellor in activities that advance the University; including public relations, government relations, and fundraising. BOV members are ambassadors who actively engage with their communities by communicating what they are hearing from UNC and from their communities to UNC. BOV members further support the University through committee work, such as Student Recruitment for Honors Carolina, Student Career Services, Membership Engagement, Marketing Communications, and Government Relations. We are searching for people who, through their service and their giving, have shown support for the University. We are looking for our top alumni who have shown active interest in the work of the University.

BOV nominations are due by February 1, of each year. Final selections take place during the May meeting of the UNC Board of Trustees, which is usually at the end of May.
